The ZXP Series 3 card printer by Zebra is a 300 dpi single sided card printer that prints in both monochrome and full colour. The device also supports USB, with a cable included with the device. The printer prides itself on being highly affordable whilst always delivering a high level of performance. The device features ZRaster host-based image processing technology. This ensures high speed printing without compromising on image quality. Guarantee of high quality output and quality is thanks to the Zebra ribbons included with the device.
Other features of the device include USB interface, 16 character LCD display, Load-N-Go ribbon cartridge system and 100 card covered holder. The printer accepts 10-40mm thick cards.
The single sided, USB version (USB cable included) is available in a number of different options, depending on what the user requires from the device.
What are the different options for the USB version of the Zebra ZXP Series 3 (including USB cable)?
Single sided printing. This device only prints on one side. Two sided versions are available however. These are able to print on both sides of the ID card. These will be included in a future post.

Enclosure lock. Security feature that means the cards inserted into the machine cannot be tampered with.

Contact station. Devices with a contact station are suitable for configuring ID cards with in-built chips. These can then be used with a card reader.

Ethernet connectivity. All devices in this range feature USB connectivity which is a quick way to connect the printer to your PC, making setup easier. However, if you are in a networked environment and would like to position your printer a fair distance from your PC, you might want to consider an ethernet connected device which is compatible with network infrastructure.

QuikCard software and starter kit. As well as the actual printer, the device comes with everything you need to get up and running quickly. This includes QuikCard CardStudio software, webcam, ribbon and 200 cards.
