Introduction

Patients are individuals. This means there is never a ‘one size fits all’ approach. Significantly, ASL labels provide wristband solutions to deliver accurate & error free data.

SATO have been developing patient ID products for over two decades. SATO work within the healthcare sectorto manufacture patient ID wristbands. They produce wristbands for a range of environments. Equally, for patients staying for varying durations, wristbands are also available.

For long stay patients we offer a suitable range of soft/durable wristbands. We also offer thermal printed wristbands. This ensures long lasting, high quality printed data. These are stocked as part of a competitively priced range. They offer similar benefits to the premium range. However, they are more suited to shorter stays.

SATO products are economical and convenient. This is for short stay patients and outpatients. Particularly, these include high performing RFID wristbands. Existing printers are able to support these.

At ASL labels, we stock a range of different types of wristbands. These can be explored further below:

Laser Wristband

The SATO laser wristband comes in A4 format. Laser & inkjet printers are supported. These labels are particularly useful for nursing staff. Each pack contains 250 sheets with 16 labels per sheet.

The self-adhesive feature ensures the wristbands are tamper proof. This ensures patients are consistently labelled. The labels are durable, able to withstand hot water & soap. Outpatients or short-stay patients are ideal for these types of labels. Specifically, the labels are ideal for customers wanting to use their own printers.

SATO wristbands are latex free. They are also soft & made from synthetic materials. Resultantly, patient comfort is retained. Also, the wristbands can be used for up to one week.

RFID Wristband

The SATO RFID line patient ID wristband is cutting edge. It offers high levels of patient autonomy, safety & security. These wristbands contain radio frequency identification & integrated circuits. This means they operate in HF, UHF and NF range. The wristbands can be used in multiple situations.

Scanning can be achieved from further away, and in different locations. RFID readers can be placed at multiple locations. Resultantly, staff become empowered. They can now scan patients from a distance. This is particularly useful in certain establishments. i.e. incubation units. Patient comfort is improved regardless. The patient is less disturbed in their stay.

RFID line NFC wristband can be used as access control for personnel. Conversely, NFC readers placed near doors allow access to restricted areas.

Direct thermal technology is used to print these wristbands. This eliminates the need for a ribbon. The wristband retains the information as a result. Information can be retained for up to one week, generally.

These wristbands are gentle on the skin. However, they are also resistant to a harsh environments. They come with a tamper proof adhesive closure. Subsequently, this ensures the wristband remains secure.

TT Wristband

The Sato TT Wristband is durable yet soft. It provides high level performance. Equally, it is comfortable to wear. It comes in a range of colours.

Extra soft anti-microbial Econano make up the wristbands. The wristband successfully retains information throughout the patients stay. Regardless, the resultant print is crisp and robust. This is thanks to thermal printing technology.

The wristband is soft and gentle. Resultantly, it is ideally suited to infants & the elderly. Moreover, the Econano clip ensures security. This removes risk of transference. The added feature of a security ribbon conceals patient ID. This creates added peace of mind.

The wristband is non-cytotoxic and non-irritant. This makes it non-hostile to skin, confirmed by lab testing. Specifically, this is done under ISO conditions.

Hospital conditions can be harsh. They are commonly prone to moisture. Hand and detergent sanitisers are also used frequently. Resultantly, it can be difficult to preserve patient data. The SATO TT wristband can successfully be used in such environments.

Eventually, wristbands are incinerated. Econano technology helps absorb resultant CO2. This is eventually released into the atmosphere. This is largely thanks to the nano vesicle capsules. Markedly, the wristbands adhesive contains these.
